Not feeling festive about the Coca-Cola truck visiting your city and handing out sugary drinks to the public, especially children? Here are some ideas of ways to get a different message out.
Coca-Cola has spent decades and billions on tying in our joyous love of the festive season with its brand. Whether it's a polar bear reaching for a fizzy cola or the annual Holiday Truck Tour, the association with the moments we hold dear is powerful. And the impact of sugary drinks on our health, particularly that of our children, is unmistakable.
We are up in arms about this – or up in wings, with many SUGAR SMART cities planning tooth fairy stunts and public engagement events to coincide with the Coca-Cola truck's arrival.
